Automated Material Storage & Retrieval Systems streamline sheet handling by connecting raw-material storage, loading, unloading, and laser cutting. Available solutions range from standalone loading and unloading systems to integrated production cells with automated raw-material storage.
Final system specifications are selected or engineered according to the sheet size, material weight, laser model, handling requirements, storage capacity, production workflow, and available installation space. Contact Bramac Machinery to confirm compatibility for your application.
ALG and ALF systems automate sheet loading and unloading for different material and production requirements. The ALG Series is intended primarily for lighter and thinner sheet applications, while the ALF Series is designed for medium and heavy sheet applications requiring greater payload capacity.
The ARW Series stores and retrieves raw sheet material for delivery to the laser automation system. Available options include standard single-tower, compact, and dual-tower configurations designed around the required sheet size, storage capacity, and facility layout.
Compatible loading and unloading systems can be combined with ARW raw-material storage and a Glorystar laser cutting machine to create an integrated production cell. These systems coordinate material retrieval, loading, cutting, and unloading to reduce manual handling and improve production flow.

A: Automated material storage and retrieval systems are well suited for manufacturers looking to improve material flow, reduce manual handling, and maximize laser cutting productivity. They are commonly used by sheet metal fabricators, steel service centers, OEMs, appliance manufacturers, and other operations processing high volumes of sheet material.
A: Yes. ALG and ALF are loading and unloading systems and can be configured without an ARW material-storage system.
ALG is intended for lighter and thinner sheet applications, while ALF is designed for medium and heavy sheet applications requiring greater payload capacity.
If automated storage may be added in the future, that objective should be considered during the initial planning process so compatibility, controls, facility layout, and expansion requirements can be evaluated.
A: Combining the ALF Automated Loading & Unloading System with the ARW Automated Material Warehouse creates a fully integrated production cell that automates material storage, retrieval, loading, and unloading.
This can help:
The final configuration depends on the laser model, sheet dimensions, payload, storage requirements, production workflow, and facility layout.
A: Yes. Automated material storage and retrieval systems are designed to support a variety of sheet sizes, material types, and thicknesses commonly used in fabrication environments. Specific handling capabilities depend on the system configuration, machine model, and application requirements.
A: Yes. ALG or ALF loading and unloading automation can be added later to a compatible Glorystar laser. An ARW material warehouse can also be added later to a system initially installed with ALG or ALF automation.
Future automation plans should be identified when ordering so the required interface can be included and adequate space reserved. Retrofitting a machine without the automation interface is possible but requires additional on-site modifications.
Bramac Machinery can help plan the laser, automation interface, facility layout, and future expansion requirements around your long-term production goals.
